Still alive and off to another adventure...Day 4...

Our next day of adventure took us over to San Diego,

With some time on our hands we had us some breakfast at Corner Bakery Cafe, good stuff, gotta love their egg scrambles.

After that was all done we headed on over to the first of our San Diego adventures, UC San Diego.  Everyone was rounded up at their Student Center and after a (pretty boring) orientation we went off on our (much more interesting) campus tour...

I was super duper impressed with how awesome the campus buildings looked, unreal...

And there was UC SD's Bookstore, an entire floor is dedicated to jus' UC SD apparel...

A lot of the buildings on campus are surrounded by eucalyptus trees, unreal...

Isn't this building unreal?  A number of different conferences are held here...

And probably one of those most unreal buildings on campus is their library.  Dr. Seuss, a local San Diego native contributed millions to the library.  Overall the entire campus promotes creativity, innovation and thinking out of the box.  At the library, for example if a student is brain fried from studying, there's treadmills, coloring books and the entire collection of Dr. Seuss books...

The higher you go in the library, the more strict the staff is about silence...

The architecture of the library is unreal.  According to our tour guide it's a pair of hands holding a stack of books, kinda cool huh...

The entire campus spews creativity.  For example there's a metal eucalyptus tree in the forest?  You see it?  It sings random stuff like the Jaws theme song, or music from Harry Potter.  There's other trees that speak and sing, cool stuff...

Check out this unreal mural near the international student services building...

Up top the engineering building there's that stilted house, cool huh.  You can actually go in there and check out photos of professors in their younger years n stuff.  What's cool too is that the little house is built on different angles which very much disorientates you.  Our tour guide told us that it represents students when they first come to the campus and how it can feel awkward.  But if you stick it out, things will get more comfortable...

And this snake is an actual path on campus.  At one point it gets super steep, which represents that at times college will get challenging, but with persistence you can make it through...

This is the campus' sun god.  Every year they have a festival and celebration which includes music, dance and celebration...

And in the forest there's an area where artists can do graffiti, I'm friggen sold, lol...

And check out these dorms, unreal...

After UC San Diego, we drove over to San Diego University...

And then over to San Diego State University...

After our college visit we went on over to the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center to check out their exhibits, pretty cool...

While we were there we also checked out Jason Latimer.  You may recognize him from Wizard Wars.  We went to see his magic show at the museum.  We weren't allowed to take any pics during his show, so the only pics I have is when I got the opportunity to meet him after the show.  He's one pretty cool guy, I told him I was from Hawaii and that I watch him on Wizard Wars, he was pretty stoked.   I sat in the front row because I wanted to see how good the guy is, and trust, the guy is THAT good!

Upon leaving the building we met up with some reptile collectors, where I met this python (from a distance, lol)...

What an awesome day it was!
