Still alive and off to another adventure...Day 10...

Day 10, we slept in, kinda, lol.  My friend let me drive her car while she was at work.  So the niece and I headed on over to iPic Theater.  If you've been following my blog, you know I went there before and had a blast.  (http://haynmade.blogspot.com/search/label/IPic%20Theater)  This time I wanted the niece to experience it.  And yup, they delivered yet again, this time we watched Pixels.

For pupu we had asian salad wraps...

Spicy ahi on crispy rice...

String bean tempura...

I also got me a French onion dip sandwich and popcorn, but couldn't take pics because the movie started, oh well, lol.

Saw this on the streets, cool stuff...

After the movie was done we all met up with my Cali buddies and we headed on to Moodaepo for some unreal Korean food.  This place was off the hook!  For about $30 it was all you can cook n eat Korean food in a  Koren club-like atmosphere with tv screens with k-pop music and techno-ish/trap-ish mixes, hella good times...

And as if THAT wasn't enough, we went to Milk to get our dessert on...

I so wanted an ice cream sandwich, but couldn't handle to eat one, so I settled for a scoop of chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone...

While my friend had her an ice cream sandwich complete with macaroon cookies to complete the sandwich...

Still alive and off to another adventure...Day 9...

Day 9,

So we're on day 9, all of our college visits are done!  To celebrate the ending of our college tour we headed on over to Pantages to check out Phantom of the Opera.  But before doing so...

We saw a few stars...

And I also saw this cool icon...

And the niece, my friend and her friend all met up for lunch before the show at Katsuya, a really nice poshy Japanese restaurant not to far away from the Panteges...

Check out this ridiculous decor...

And while we were there they were preparing 1000 eggs for a food festival that same day...

And then there was the food, oh man, killer...

Miso soup and green salad...

I had their chirashi box bento, winnerz...

My niece had this amazing salad...

For dessert she had mochi ice cream...

And I had sweet bread pudding, amaze balls...

Then it was time for Phantom of the Opera.  In the lobby they had a few pieces for display...

Some interior of the Pantages, beautiful...
In all honesty, this Phantom was good, but I liked the older one better.  This one had new sets and costumes, but I very much would have preferred to see the old Masquerade scene with the stairway and all of those unreal costumes.  The costumes for this year's Masquerade scene were...meh...

And there was this cool dude...

And my ultimate fav, graff work in the streets...

Later we arrived back in our turf in Sawtelle, hmm, who's this dude?

And we hit it to Bachi Burger, owned by a former Hawai'i chef from Roy's who started up his own restaurant.  Here's my kalbi burger, yummerz...

As if that wasn't enough we went to BSweet for some dessert, lol...

Still alive and off to another adventure...Day 8...

The college adventures continues on Day 8 with my good friend and the niece,

First off, we grab us some acai bowls from Live Right Acai, hella good stuff.  Check out all of that granola they put, dammmmn...

And then we were off to USC...

As you can see lots of red brick, hmm I wonder why, lol...

Even red and yellow flowers, lol...

This building was amazing...

Something about this statue that called to me...

The buildings on campus are just beautiful, check out the School of Cinema Arts...

Look closely, see any names you recognize?

And then we went to the sports hall where they have their sports accomplishments on display...

Oh?

And every more amazing architecture...

You don't see this everyday...

I thought this was kinda cool for some reason...

I thought this was cool too...

Mr. Neil Armstrong...

Then we had some lunch at Soup Plantation...

After lunch we headed on over to Loloya Marymount...

And then it was California Institute of Technology aka Caltech...

Aww, a pretty little butterfly...

As you can see Caltech has a number of different kinds of buildings...

After Caltech was done we went on over to Cinemark Theatre for Antman...

Got me some pulled pork sandwiches while I watched my movie...

And at the end of the evening we went for ramen at Shin Sen Gumi Hakata Ramen, well the ladies had ramen, I had a beef bowl because I was still full from lunch, but this fried tofu dish below was off the hook...
